I heard it takes like 5 minutes to beat the whole thing

might the demo files for the pc are still crypted so they take about 3 gig, just to avoid early games ^^
and there is no need to do that with the xbox files, but realyze that this is just a guess.

That or they just reduced the hell out of the texture files.

The Parish part 2 takes ~10 minutes leisurely.

Part 1 (as with all first chapters of campaigns) is reasonably short, but that depends on which map route is available. Theres multiple paths that can lead you to the end, they aren't all always open.

I notice this a lot between my 360 and my PC. Left 4 Dead GOTY installed to my 360's harddrive is under 4 GB, L4D on my computer is 5.3. The Orange Box is 3.9 GB on my 360, and I think Episode 2 alone is twice that on my PC.

Compression, lack thereof? I dunno, games are always smaller on the 360. Maybe they don't put the higher res textures in the 360 builds?

Only two resolutions to worry about: 480p & 720p. That and compression; Microsoft has policies on how big demos can be.

The demo was between 1 and 2 gb. I keep hearing alot of the same voice work, so I suspect most of that was left out. Some other things seemed a little funny, as well. It's a fun demo, and it has made me want to see the finished game even more.
