I'm getting tired making a new thread every single time, so I'm making this for myself. If you find something you want to share (a teaser, theatrical trailer, tv spot, featurette, clip, etc.) and would like to discuss it, then go ahead and post it here.

Now allow me to start by saying that...
Mel Gibson is ♥♥♥♥ing back!

Same here, the man belongs in front of the camera, lets be honest. He's made some great films and even if the film sucks, I always enjoy watching him.

I can't think of director Herzog without this backstory...
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/contributor/1800014268/bio
...Klaus Kinski, who once called the director a “blowhard” and a “sadistic, treacherous, cowardly creep.” The tumultuous professional and personal relationship resulted in nasty on-set encounters and various death threats, including a serious consideration by Herzog to firebomb Kinski’s house. Herzog also blithely recounted directing the actor in “Aguirre, the Wrath of God” with a loaded rifle at the ready and a threat to shoot Kinski if he walked off set; Kinski scoffed at Herzog’s claim in his autobiography. He also recalled the filming of “Fitzcarraldo,” where Peruvian natives, sick of his crazed antics, offered to kill the actor. But Herzog declined, stating that he still needed to direct him in the movie. Herzog later regretted missing his opportunity.
supernaut
10-30-2009, 05:17 PM
Lol at the quote, didn't know that.
Herzog is the main reason I want to see that film, but it's good to see Cage embracing his crazy side (his best side imo) once again.
After seeing Encounters at the End of the World, Rescue Dawn, Grizzly Man and The White Diamond, I feel the urge to see each and every one of his films.

Wow ya....I just saw the trailer (http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2678785305/)for that. Now I dunno which I want to see more. From the looks of it, The Road will be the better movie. I like Viggo Mortensen in almost everything he's done.

Yeah, I loved the trailer for that and I'm liking Tom Hardy more and more after each movie. He always plays side characters, so I'm glad he finally got a leading part.

I've only played the very first Prince of Persia, but I never finished it. The game-to-film adaptations that have the best chances of being good (enough) and reaching a mainstream audience are this one, Bioshock and Warcraft. I'm excited for all three and hopefully the ♥♥♥♥ty game-to-film curse will be finally broken. A shame though that Gore Verbinski dropped Bioshock. I don't love him necessarily as a director, but he was definitely more suitable for the project than J.C. Fresnadillo.

No, it shouldn't. They don't discuss any major plot points from the previous films, the video is 30 seconds of behind the scenes interviews and about 50 seconds of "finished" footage from Deathly Hallows Part 1. Mainly just glimpses of characters and locations that people familiar with the book would recognize.
It's a moot point though, my link is broken. Must find another..

Robin Hood
Director: Ridley Scott
Cast: Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Mark Strong, Mark Addy, Oscar Isaac, Max von Sydow
Robin Hood chronicles the life of an expert archer, previously interested only in self-preservation, from his service in King Richards army against the French. Upon Richards death, Robin travels to Nottingham, a town suffering from the corruption of a despotic sheriff and crippling taxation, where he falls for the spirited widow Lady Marion, a woman skeptical of the identity and motivations of this crusader from the forest. Hoping to earn the hand of Maid Marion and salvage the village, Robin assembles a gang whose lethal mercenary skills are matched only by its appetite for life. Together, they begin preying on the indulgent upper class to correct injustices under the sheriff.

I thought this was worth sharing. Disney animated features haven't been relevant for a decade now, even though they've been gaining momentum with their own digital animations like Bolt and now receiving an Oscar nomination for their "back to the 2D roots" The Princess and the Frog. This documentary seems like a nice look back to the glory days, a generation grown up with Pixar movies should take a look at this.

Some movies I'm looking forward to, that will make money, or otherwise just looks awesome: I present to thee, the Trailer Pack!
First, I have here, is a movie with Adam Sandler. I watched "Funny People" and was somewhat impressed; it was more of a drama than comedy, but I sort of liked it. This one, though, looks like a comedy. I bring you "Grown Ups (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/grownups/)".
This one I really want to watch, but my local theatre won't have it because of stupid Paramont/Dreamworks. Something about us not getting it in 3D, so we won't get it at all. Pricks. But, I still want to see it. Here is "How To Train Your Dragon (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/dreamworks/howtotrainyourdragon/)".
I am not a big fan of Russel Crowe, but I do like the Robin Hood series. But, in one of the previews, they have his name wrong. It's Robin of Luxley, not Robin what's-his-last-name-is. Still, "Robin Hood (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/universal/robinhood/)" looks pretty cool.
I have not seen the original, but this movie just looks amazing, and with Sam Worthington playing the part of Perseus, I'm looking forward to watching "Clash of the Titans (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/clashofthetitans/)" with my mom on the Cine Capri!
This is another remake I have not seen the original, but heard rave reviews of. However, I don't think it should be called "The Karate Kid (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/karatekid/)"; it should be called "The Kung-Fu Kid". Technicalities aside, I'm more curious than anything, really.
Once again, a remake. Once again, I haven't seen the original. But, the guy who played Rorschach in "Watchmen" is playing the lead role here. Should be promising. I just hope I don't get any nightmares after watching "A Nightmare on Elm Street (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/newline/anightmareonelmstreet/)". Though it should be noted I don't live on Elm Street.
Okay, this looks pretty funny, especially since someone is making fun of MacGuyver. But, this man is "MacGruber (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/universal/macgruber/)".
Finally, the third in the series of this saga continues the story of Bella and Edward. I've seen the first two (first one twice, however), and the second was only a flicker compared to other movies. But I know this will make money because of the raving (idiot) fans. I'm curious, but hopefully I'll have finished with the books before then (just need to actually READ). It is with much, MUCH pain I finish with "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/summit/thetwilightsagaeclipse/)".
On a finishing note, I want to recommend the high-definition feeds of each trailer, otherwise you do them no justice. If your system can handle Blu-Ray, it should handle high-definition video.
With that, I bring you your feature presentation!
RaiNN

No wonder box office tickets are way down, the above trailers are just more recycled, uncreative ideas.
Robin Hood looks good, but since I've seen Gladiator a million times, I can already imagine Russel Crowe as Maximus with a different outfit.
Grown Ups looks like a very mainstream comedy, which is sad cause you have talented, brutal comics like Chris Rock in there dumbing down their stand-up material to play a boring character.
Karate Kid ... Will Smith's kid and Jackie Chan. Why ruin the charm of that 80's flick?
Nightmare on Elm Street, here we go agaaaaain.
MacGruber, I would've been happier to see them make a MacGyver movie. It's another G.I. Joe, A-Team revist throwaway.
---------------
I do want to checkout Tron, and hopefully Ironman 2 comes together nicely.

No wonder box office tickets are way down...
Define "way down". Each weekend, the newer releases actually do pretty well, especially at my local theatre (gets really busy). Especially since, so far this year, box office has (mainly) seen over $100,000,000 in sales for the top 12 movie totals. Okay, so one week has seen less than that, but that's ONE WEEK. (source: Box Office Mojo (http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/?yr=2010&p=.htm))
BONUS TRAILER: I can't believe I forgot about this! One of the previews for this looks really dumb, yet I can't get how hilarious it is. Starts off with "To take over the world, you need an army of ruthless, menacing minions." I give you "Despicable Me (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/universal/despicableme/)". Remember, kiddies! I totally recommend the HD trailers where available! :D

Joan Rivers : A Piece of Work (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fnojZw54ls)
But "Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work" is a better film than that. It's one of the best documentaries ever made about show business, about what it really consists of and what it demands. Along the way, almost incidentally, by showing us a woman in her mid-70s still driven to pursue this life of stress and punishment, it offers insight into the performer personality.
Rivers herself says it best. She describes the showbiz life as one of constant rejection; and over the course of the film, we see that that's true. People who fail in show business get rejected all the time. Successes, like Rivers, get rejected most of the time. We see her, an elderly woman of enormous professional stature, hustling for commercials, hustling for gigs, worrying over her material, worrying over a barren schedule, getting bad reviews, playing lousy rooms and hoping for things that never happen. And this is someone who has it good.

Probably because of the director's and Bettany's previous collaboration, Legion, which I have yet to see myself.
It was okay, nothing memorable though. I think Bettany is a good actor, I just have a hard time seeing him as an action-hero which was basically his role in Legion. I could easily see him fulfilling some kind of thinking man's bad guy in a Christopher Nolan or JJA film, though.
I know he played a loonie in Da Vinci Code, but I don't blame him for that. It was bad book turned in to bad movie with bad results.

The Rum Diary (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m0yqS3jodU&eurl=http%3A%2F%2F)
Based on the debut novel by Hunter S. Thompson, "The Rum Diary" tells the increasingly unhinged story of itinerant journalist Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp). Tiring of the noise and madness of New York and the crushing conventions of late Eisenhower-era America, Kemp travels to the pristine island of Puerto Rico to write for a local newspaper, The San Juan Star, run by downtrodden editor Lotterman (Richard Jenkins). Adopting the rum-soaked life of the island, Paul soon becomes obsessed with Chenault (Amber Heard), the wildly attractive Connecticut-born fiancée of Sanderson (Aaron Eckhart). Sanderson, a businessman involved in shady property development deals, is one of a growing number of American entrepreneurs who are determined to convert Puerto Rico into a capitalist paradise in service of the wealthy. When Kemp is recruited by Sanderson to write favorably about his latest unsavory scheme, the journalist is presented with a choice: to use his words for the corrupt businessmen's financial benefit, or use them to take the bastards down.
