View Full Version : I can has Startopia?

Overcome with boredom waiting for a patch for Borderlands, I parsed my dusty box of oldies and found this gem and whilst Mucky Foot is gone, Eidos is with us and by 'eck they are the publisher!
But, they don't have Startopia on Steam? Why don't they have Startopia on Steam?! Why I say this is most dissatisfying and had it been available it would not be the first game I already own which I would have purchased a second time just to avoid the disc-swap on an up-to-date jolly romp of yester-year.
If Interplay can stuff Sacrifice(!) on Steam, I say it's about time we saw some Startopia. I reckon we should all mail our poo to Eidos until they comply.

I have to say I am interested in it as well. Never played it , but would buy it if it was on steam.

Aye, i concur, it's odd that eidos hasn't released some of it's games on steam, you can still get startopia from their store, but it's weird it's not on steam; http://store.eidos.co.uk/pc-windows-download/StarTopia.php

Startopia was .. amazing. It has a 'The hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy' charm about it.
The campaign is excellent, and I had hours and hours of fun in the sandbox mode. I don't see why it shouldn't be brought over to Steam.

I love to see this game as well and other Eidos games.

I loved this game, and would love to see it come out on steam. If not steam, then GoG at least. Whatever works.

Startopia is an amazing game, certainly it would be a great addition the the Steam library.

Reiterating a need for this game to come out on Steam, I can't buy it from Eidos' site here in Australia and I certainly know a few friends that would buy it as well if it were available here.
Come on, there's really nothing like it around.

I just started trying to find a way to buy this game again. I would love to have it available as a direct download somewhere, and would especially love to have it on steam. Games like this, and Evil Genius deserve a permanent place on my hard drive.

Yes please add Startopia to Steam! It would be an instant buy for me!

I was looking for Startopia also. Saw it recommended as a classic builder and wanted to try it out, but can't find a "non-shady" way to download it.

Bumping to say that the game is now available on GoG.com. Maybe that means we'll see it on Steam in the near future? :)

Startopia can be played using 'Gameranger'. If you have startopia and fancy a game give me a buzz - gordonkasvagorian (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk
You can buy startopia brand new for £5 in the UK, they ship it to other countries for only a few extra quid.
