I'll only buy Grim Fandango again if the money goes to Tim Schafer at DoubleFine. ;)

Lucasarts doesn't deserve it.

I would really like to see lucas arts getting creative mind back to work on adventures and give us funny as hell games again. Also i would like another way to move in Grim fandango. I never liked the way they solved it in this game.

Grim Fandango is hands down the wittiest, best written game yet.
I would gladly buy it to re-play!

Steam could actually be a great excuse to produce something like "Grim Fandango: Steam Edition" with smoother and efficient graphics, hyped level design and special content.

Great game that id love to see on Steam. Ive been playing through Maniac Mansion again, LucasArts has made so many brilliant games that I dream of a day they are all easily available through direct download.

It would be great if they make a Special Edition where it's in 2D and actually a point and click adventure!

I've never played the game before. I have once tried to but it doesn't like modern computers very much. A special edition version of this game for steam would be great! :)

Hell yeah! A special edition with improved character models as good as the one's in the cutscenes would be mind breakingly amazing. If I remember correctly GF flopped on release but i think with the convenience of download services like steam, a broader games audience and the resurgence of the indie scene there's clearly a much bigger market for adventure games than in 1998.

DOn't worry about it. Telltale is always busy working on great adventure games. They've picked up Monkey Island and Sam n Max, maybe they'll pick up Full Throttle, or Grim Fandango as backdrop to a new series of adventure games.

I'd love to see this! I played it a long while ago and would love to be able to again. Lost my disks some time ago.

Have really enjoyed being able to replay MI1&2!

Lol, in a eurogamer interview (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/live-brutal-legend-interview-live-q-and-a) Tim Shafer said that whenever he hears a rumour of someone making Grim Fandango 2 he can't sleep at night;)

Here's the full quote if you're interested.

Super Moderating Hero: Would you like Telltale to remake any other of the games you had a hand in? What about Grim Fandago? Is that a decision you have a say in?

Tim Schafer: I don't have any say in that, really, since I don't own that properly. Even though I like those guys, anybody but me making a Grim Fandango game would really make me very sad. Whenever I hear a rumor about someone making Grim 2, I literally can't sleep that night.

Hard to explain. I feel a very personal connection with those games. That's one of the main reasons I started Double Fine. So I could have a say in what was done with the characters and worlds we make up. And so with Psychonauts or Brtal Legend, if anything happens with those stories, you know it will come from us!

Ive been playing Grim Fandango since 1998 and never get tired of the game. i still won the box that the CDs came in. lately ive been running though hoops to get the think to install and run in Vista and Windows 7 x64. It even freezes on my atom PC. if it does come on steam i know i would be buying 5 copies, 1 for me 1 or girlfriend and 3 for family members who also live the game.

For those who still own the original discs you can get the game working on modern systems (i.e. Windows 7) using this fan-made setup file and launcher:

http://quick.mixnmojo.com/grim-fandango-setup
http://quick.mixnmojo.com/grim-fandango-launcher

I've been playing it on Windows 7 Enterprise x64 just fine. I'd still buy it if it appeared on Steam though. Although not if GOG.com gets there first.

I bought it 2 times, but since it's still one of my favourite games, I could consider buying it on Steam too :D
Anyway, it DESERVES to be here.

I'm playing through this again after 10+ years and it still holds it's own! Far better story, script and dialogue than 99% of games released in the last few years.

I would definitely jump on board and buy this on steam if it was made available...

I would buy a copy for me and 10 of my friends.

Please LucasArts...let me give you more of my money.

Totally agreed.
Tough it have problems concerning WinXP above OS and directDraw,
Little bit of patch files can manage it to run smoothly as hell.

(Fan-made Grim Fandango launcher works perfectly. Win7, i5 environment.)

I always feel terrible of playing this masterpiece not paying them.
Please make GF on Steam.

Lucas Arts? You there? I would TOTALLY buy Grim Fandango. I've never played it before but it's one of the top rated adventure games of all time.

C'mon! People are still buying Monkey Island games! They'll totally buy Grim Fandango too.

PLEASE?
