Invalid Game Type

i'm getting the message invalid game type when i try to use hlds_run to exec the server... its a red hat linux server and i'm using putty to connect to it, any suggestions or links to info?

What game type are you specifying with the -game parameter? Make sure that game has a folder in with its same name in your HLDS home dir. Also, it should have a liblist.gam.

Invalid game type 'cstrike' sepecified.

post your exact command line when you run it, maybe more eyes might help point out something that has been missed.

Did you run steam hlds update tool with cstrike specified to download cs content?

If so, their is a /cstrike folder in the hlds dir with maps / dlls folders and liblist.gam file?

yes there is, everything is in there that i know of

ive used the update tool to check and its still doing it..
