whoever moved this post is a true idiot sir. if you werent half assed u would know that winex is a script for linux to run .exe like games.. the reason i posted it on the steam section is because im trying to run steam off of it to.

And getting it to run on linux isn't steam related, because steam itself doesn't support linux. Other programs that emulate windows programs belong in Off Topic. And sorry I don't know anything about this you need help with.

But anyways what errors you getting?

its saying that the cvs is not install so i go find a fedora rpm of cvs , install that type which cvs in terminal and it says can not find cvs

heres the exact error for the winex installation

Try fixing the error based on the output above, and
run the script again, without paramaters (Eg: GetCVSWineX)

I know what Winex is. Maybe if you had posted the fact that you wanted help in getting Steam to run on Linux then I would have left the post in General or maybe moved it to Help/Support.

The fact is that you made no mention of Steam in your original post - hence it's OFF TOPIC.

Okay, let me explain.

Your original post made no mention of Steam - it was purely a request for help in geting a piece of software to run on Linux, hence it was OFF TOPIC for the general forum. Maybe you should have explained in a bit more detail in your original post why you wanted help in getting Winex to run on Linux.

Now, would you like me to move the post to the Help/Support forum?
