I purchased MW2 yesterday and began to download it, but everytime I choose to play a game from steam I have to click on the actual icon of the game from my desktop because if I use steam as the launching point of a game, it freezes and it reads "Steam 737207 isn't responding" those aren't the actual numbers, but pretty close. Anyways aside from that, everytime I try and turn off my computer while the download is still going it automatically starts back to 0% once I turn it back on. Any help?

When it starts back at 0%, that number only means it has downloaded 0% from where it left off before. It isn't actually starting your download over. Steam has always done this, and it is a bit weird. I don't know about your other problem.

Basically, if you downloaded 50% of the game before it crashed, when you restart, it will "update" the game with the missing files, hence the count returns to 0%. The 50% is still there, just the count starts there (and therefore should count twice as fast).

wow... I wish I would've known that before I clicked "delete local content."

Quite a lot of people get confused with this - hint, hint, Steam HMI people.

It wasn't always like this. They knowingly changed it a while back.

It's a bug, not a change. Valve called it a UI bug when it first reared its ugly head, they just haven't fixed it.
