soo guy asks for my account and pw and i pretty much tell him to screw off. if any admin reads this plz reply soon so i know what to do. been using different pcs for years and this never happen b4 also.

What kind of help do you need? It's a scammer, delete him from your friends list and report user misconduct (http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u9/iigor/usermc.jpg).

That's just part of the scam. He has no way of actually knowing, he's just using it as a reason to try & steal your info.

Make sure you verify your steam account email under settings.

i dont think its a coincidence. plus i always verfy my accounts on steam and change info if needed but i really do find it odd he knew im using multiple ips.

Then you're an idiot. His misspelled user name should be a HUGE RED FLAG. Perhaps you shouldn't be using steam.

It was a coincidence, most scamers use that line. Just listen to the people who have obviously used Steam longer than you & just ignore him.

They tell you that multiple IPs have accessed your Steam account so that you think "OMG, somebody's stealing my account, I better verify my account to this nice man!" and then your account really does get stolen.

IT'S ALL PART OF THE SCAM TO GET YOU TO FALL FOR IT. SO YES, IT IS A COINCIDENCE!!
