It's not actually multiplayer. Steam support got back to me on this to "clarify".

Even though the web page had "multiplayer" as a feature on the game's page, their version of multiplay is apparently two people sitting next to each other at a keyboard...

There is another version that allows online play...but it's not this one - regardless of what the game description says.

No it's not a HUGE deal. It's a casual game anyway, but it is shady IMO.

it can play multiplayer over the internet.

If you and a friend have this game, you can use a program called Hamachi to link your computers togehter. Makes games think your in LAN and not WAN.
