in commandos 1, you need to get a third party software to slow your cpu down.
the other ones should be working well

I tested the 'advanced game loader' and it works really good... but i cannot say if hits program could damage your system.

i played the retail version of the first part some years ago and used cpukiller i think. it worked perfectly and my didn't take any damage but no guarantee for that.

I've used a program called FPS limiter before that should solve the problem. New problem though, I can't get this working with steam games for some reason...

It works fine. You can select individual processes to slow down, in this case, "comandos.exe". I have it set to ~25% on my Core 2 Duo.

EDIT: Great work, foul language filter. Filter the word F-O-K. A three-letter that pops up in a random string in the url I posted.

Here's the program I use: http://www.freewarefiles.com/CPU-Speed-Adjuster_program_11991.html

Just start it before Commandos, set it to the speed you want (I use 30%) and load the game. Works fine for me.

Actually someone just made a thread about finally fixing the speed problem. I tried what he said and it works perfectly.
