View Full Version : Someone Ping My Server

I'm trying to host a Counter-Strike server on my cable modem, but my friends can't seem to see the server. I'm running on a Charter Communications network, and my friends are using Comcast. I want to know if it's just them who can't see my server or if it's not just a fluke.

The IP for my server is 68.186.18.16

If you participate, please list your location, your ping, what type of Internet connection you have, and its speeds. Example:

Cable (3Mbps/256Kbps)
Southern Oregon
72ms

try sv_lan 0, or forward the ports on the router.

I can't even ping that IP in DOS. I'm guessing you have dynamic ips and it has reset?

Something's going haywire causing segmentation faults. I'm going to email Valve with the debug right now. Despite the fact that I can't figure everything out, I'd like to thank you guys for your help.

I completely ****ered the Metamod install. It should work now. A friend of mine got into it, but several of my other friends can't access it. Please help me by pinging the server (same IP as above). Thanks, everyone!
