got a server couple weeks ago from a company that host linux server, and some people ping about 300 out of no where, constantly.
Server is located in san jose california and i lagg normal, but for some reason SOME people just lagg...and i dont know why and i dont know how to fix it.
The voice is also messed up, it sounds stacticky and choppy and its really annoying when we're trying to talk. i tried this commmand for the voice :
admin_rcon sv_voicecodec voicespeex
and nothing happened, it said it couldn't load the voicecodec or something..
If you guys have any idea on how to fix these things, i'd appreciate it.

edit:
SErver ip is: 205.209.149.235:27015

I think thats in the managed.com datacenter. Their Above.net bandwidth is fine and thats probably how you get on the server. For everyone else they probably use the XO bandwidth, which randomly sucks because the 1st hop outside the datacenter like to jump up to 500ms for 5-15 mins at a time.

I would suggest looking for a company with servers hosted at ColoPro they ping much better and dont have the latency issues with the XO bandwidth.

ya its managed. They suck ♥♥♥. There connection through XO has a bad router and they refuse to fix it. They changed the name and ip of the router to make it appear they fixed, but it still does the same damn thing. MASSIVE lag. It happens every so often.

My servers with them expire in a few days, luckily I have another company now that rox.
