This post was put up on the IW forums yesterday by a guy name Pixels ... its a very helpful breakdown of the config file for MW2 .. if this was posted before .. sorry searching around I only found little bits here and there of what the config file can do

ill need help filling in the ???'s (Dr.NoN looking at you) but here is the config_mp broken down and explained as good as i can figure out
I hope this helps people with fps lag, high ping problems etc
one thing i found interesting is there is still a heap of dedicated server settings so maybe dedi servers coming one day?
