My screen reso wont stay

I've just reformatted my com and i've been having this problem where my screen resolution will keep resetting itself to a smaller resolution whenver i restart it.

AFAIK its not a program conflict issue since i've only has this problem when i reformatted but not prior to that

using XP SP2 with a MS1 8800GT

Which graphics card and have you installed the driver properly?

I had the same problem with my old 8800gts. Sadly I forgot how I fixed it. Try cleanly reinstalling the video drivers.

driver wise i got the latest off the nvida site about a month ago, will try reinstalling
