Majesty 2 : Kingmaker Announced!

Paradox Interactive is proud to unveil Majesty 2: Kingmaker, the first expansion to the heralded fantasy strategy title, Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim.

So I hear that the Patch is comeing out but only by word of mouth and what others think of the reviews... honstly ive yet to see anything form paradox about it comeing before the expansion. But its out now and steam has yet to work with Paradox to push it at all. Altho iam woundering if it will be a DLC? (if they ever get it to work...)

Game still wont be fully up to par until it has a true random level generation system like the first one did. But at least they have not abandoned the game.

Hmm, Rock,Paper Shotgun did write about this , but i wonder if they were correct because the Official Forum says; "as a much requested randomization feature"besides the map editor.

Any news yet on whether this is coming to steam?

They said it was coming to Steam but it was taking time to process. They even recommended to buy kingmaker on steam if you have majestic 2 already on steam, to avoid compatibility issues.

On the 1.3 patch they said it was sent to Steam but there is a mysterious crash problem they still have to fix.

Well good to know, Ive been waiting for this release since it was due..

I sorta figured Steam was hung up on the purchases made in game, and wanting some portion of those proceeds from Steam users. So those negotiations held up the release. Since the Majesty community would be rather small, I could see how Steam could strong arm Paradox for this cut (vs say Dragon Age in game purchases).

Anyway, looks like that's not the case, but seems like an awful long time to wait for the expansion/patch. (Seriously, I've check this forum and steam everyday waiting for the expansion release)

If you don't have Majesty 2 yet, then now may be a good time for you to pick up the game on Impulse. The bundle containing Majesty 2 and the King Maker expansion is on sale for $25. which is $20 less than if you were to buy them seperately.

The other option is to wait and see if Steam will match the price offered by impulse.

I have posted about it in the suggestions' forum, where more moderators seem to check from time to time, but I doubt that will help at all.
