"Open my gift" button isnt installing

A friend of mine sent me two gifted games.(HL2 and HL2:episode1) and everytime i try to activate it. It says "click the button below to install and begin playing your new game now."

When i click the "open my gift" button it just clicks like i clicked it and it wont do anything. NO installs or anything.

I tried restarting my steam and there's no updates available. I'm lost help =)

It sounds like there may be an issue with the Steam URL protocol. This Support article may help.

You need to accept the gift via your email. A friend had this problem too.

Thanks typing "C:\Program Files\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair into the command prompt fixed it =)
