heroes over europe will not run

This heroes over europe will not run. It stops with a black screen
when I try to start it. i have a nividia geforce 8400 GS graphics card and good specs computer.
Why doesn`t it start, any ideas?

i just downloaded it, as well. the same thing happens to me, but i get the copywrite credits, then it takes me back to steam. wish i read this first.
i would have never bought it. so, dissapointed!

This is a good damn joke tbh..I got the game yesterday and i dont work for me aswell.Steam know this problem some of this posts are about 3-4 month old,and still they do nothing about it.to hell whit em i say and refond my money thanks...:mad:.If it has to do whit ban ppl on online game they are out in sekunds whit there ♥♥♥♥,but when ppl spend $ on games that don't work for some reason they can care less, they got there money,so to hell whit us..!

I found this fix over at UBIsoft. Reinstall Win Media Player. It worked for me

Nothing to do for Windows 7 32 Bit Users, this game don't work. If you use Windows 7 64 Bit, you're lucky. You need to download and executeWeb Installer DirectX End-User Runtime (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/it-it/confirmation.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3) When you have finished run graphicssettings from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\heroes over europe. With graphicssettings you adjust the video performances of the game. Happy Battle over Europe !

Notes: This game works too with Windows 7 64 Bit SP1. Keep attention if you are using vmware. You need to disable the virtual network adapters before starting the game otherwise you have the black screen .... :(
