on Campaign:

The Parish (idk, maybe it's just me, but it seems like a shoddily put-together first and third chapter. it probably has a lot to do with how this campaign was shuffled around in production, as far as the first two maps and uncommon infected go. Bridge could use more fire and some CEDA specials, imho :cool:)


on Versus:

4. Hard Rain (only campaign where I've ever gotten kicked for being "too good", so maybe I'm a bit biased.:p)
5. Dark Carnival (self-admittedly, I suck so hard on this in Versus mode. :(:p)

Dark Carnival is great on versus.
Everyone always wastes the Charge before the gorge though, nullifying it's possibility for an instant incap and massive seperation.

I don't understand all the hating on Swamp Fever; hardly anyone seems to ever play it despite the fact imo its one of, if not the best campaign.

My list:
1. Hard Rain (Rainstorms=win; easily the best attempt at a storm I've ever seen in a game, and valve outdid themselves making this one+lots of withces it cool)
2. Swamp Fever (Two tanks=epic finale, fairly creepy, I love the strung up charger and the dead guys in parachutes and all the little quirky stuff)
3. Dead Centre
4. Dark Carnival (way overplayed, not really that good, but the silly little minigames are quite nice. I feel they could have made it a lot creepier than they did)
5. The Parish (Boring, too clean, builds up to an unimpresive finale where the bridge doesn't even blow up)

1.Dark Carnival (The Carnival Scenes and feeling of being at an Amusent Park was nice for a change)

2.Dead Center ( Playing through a mall is really fun because it feels like a whole new setting which it isnt)

3.The Parish ( The Finale was intense and Awesome)

4.Hard Rain ( All The Witches made the campaign a lot cooler and getting from point A to B and Back to A was original)

5. Swamp Fever (Fun but it just feels repetitive and feels like its neverending but its still a good campaign)

To be honest, I've kinda fallen from playing versus. I do play it more than scavenge, but I always regret it a second later. It gets so tiring and annoying past the first few levels.

The few times I ran into a good match, I found it way more challenging and fun to play scavenge, not saying it's a bad mode. I just always get so tired from the constant focus I need, well with scavenge I can be done and over within 15mins.

If I had to choose though:
1.The Parish; Even though it's the most frustrating for me, I love it.
2.Hard Rain; This campaign has so much potential, just need to improve the finale, 3rd and 4th chapters.
3.Swamp Fever; It can be good, but I find a lot of things it does stupid.
4.Dead Center; Fun First level, annoying second and third, pointless fourth.
5.Dark Carnival; I actually love this map for it's Hunting spots, but I hate it for how oftenly it's played.

1. Hard Rain, Best done campaign in every way.
2. Swamp Fever. Same atmosphere of Hard Rain and yet slightly more eerie and sinister. Classic finale, too. :D
3. The Parish. It has variety. But these are usually cut short. Such as the dark sewer part.
4. Dead Centre. Fun until you get to the mall. The finale just bores me for some reason, even though I do like Scavenge.
5. Dark Carnival. Downright unplayable to me for some reason. I can't get past the motel part without changing the campaign. Even if I force myself through THAT point, I just quit later.

2. The Passing
Don't be silly, you haven't even played it yet.

1. Hard Rain: Best campaign by far, all chapters are exciting and fun to play, and I also think this is the best versus campaign.

2. The Parish: I don't know why, but the atmosphere feels just like home, and the story (military executing civilians) gives me pleasant chills down the spine.

3. Swamp Fever: I kina like the atmosphere here, but the maps can sometimes feel to long and dragged out.

4. Dark Carnical: Although kinda fun to play in campaign, it's way too long and overplayed in Versus.

5. Dead Center: Originally thought this was going to be the best campaign in Left 4 Dead 2, instead the first map is pretty fun, the second is meh, the third is HORRIBLE, and the fourth is... meh. Not really that much into scavenge. A dissappointment to me.
