Pretty much what title says. Can't get the game working on my Radeon HD4670 with Catalyst 10.1. Always get BSOD upon start. Anyone here having the same problem?

Same here.
It doesn't work on my computer, HD4850 and Catalyst 10.1.
When I start the game, it turns back blue screen. And, boom. That's all.
I and one of those who have this problem desparately need help.

I'm running a HD4670 and Catalyst 10.1. Just purchased the game and it crashes to blue screen whenever I try to start it!
I've referred the problem to Steam in a question email; I am awaiting a reply.

A Hexen steam forum users say, the newer ati driver has the problem with old OpenGL.

And Hexen game has same problem with safecracker, install, play, and BSOD.

The solution with this problem is just put the older opengl dll file in your system.

In Hexen, it works!

I don't know safecracker uses opengl driver, but it maybe works I guess, cuz safecracker and hexen has the same symptom.

But my problem is, how to get the old opengl dll file? and where should I put this file?

Anyone know this?

I have found a simpler solution... I've just downgraded ATI Catalyst to 9.4. That's the most recent working version. Since then I've been having no problems with my games (particularly Psychonauts, Safecracker, Droplitz, Defense Grid and much more).

Works fine with Windows 7 64bit and Catalyst 11.4.

Really? I have Windows 7 64bit with Catalyst 11.5, and I have the same problems everyone else does. I have the ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series.

With Win XP 32Bit, Radeon HD 5670 and Catalyst 11.3 I always got BSOD upon start. Then I switched to Win 7 64 Bit and Catalyst 11.4 (nothing else changed on my system) and now it works without any problems. Strange.

It may happens if anti-aliasing is enable. Switch off this graphical option in the Performance/Quality settings of your video driver and try again.
Selecting "Application-controlled" is also ok as it will switch off antialiasing.

Hope it will solve your problem.
