The game is fine. Alexander is a great engine and it fixes the infamous phalanx bug in Rome: Total War. Have a fun time playing the Alexander campaign. Most people play RTW online and not BI or Alex. I play the Europa Barbarorum modification for RTW and use the Alex engine (the executable) to run the mod, because not only does Alex fix the phalanx bug (it is engine 1.9 as opposed to BI's 1.6 and RTW's 1.5), but it also causes the AI to retrain its units and fight more tactically.

There was a phalanx bug? AI didn't used to retrain? News to me :confused:
