It's not going to work ATM til Steam releases a newer fix for this issue.

Yes, I'm pretty fed up with this as well. Our credit cards process no problem though, don't they?

Your choice not to take a hint that steam are listening to consumers less and less. Soon they will be as bad as every other big company out there.

A little presumptuous don't you think? One comment and you know me, know what I think or "fail" to see in Valve? I'm well aware of what I believe to be aware of, strange as it sounds, I have my ideas but I'm not going to assume something about a company when I have absolutely no proof.

I was being a bit cynical, that's all. I enjoy Steam and prefer digital downloads. One issue with one game, that doesn't even effect the game itself, I can live with, until it's fixed. I understand it's difficult to extrapolate what someone is really thinking by looking at a comment on a forum, but I think some forethought should go into what a person says before they say it, because you're way off base, you have no idea what I know and don't know, and to presume to is absolute ignorance.

Regardless, still waiting.

I found it very annoying trying to play SoC and alt+tab for every message :S

Such is the case with SoC and CoP for me, can't say about CS, since mine's retail(and the shortcut won't work).

You can fix this.

From Bad_Motha:

1) Go to the Clear Sky icon in Steam, right click and go to properties.

2) In the "Start in" box, it should end with:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky\bin

3) Remove the '\bin', so that it looks like:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky\

I can use the overlay in CoP. Every once in a while it wont work but its been pretty stable for me.

How? If i recall correctly, i never had overlay troubles with SoC. It's the only STALKER that i haven't had overlay trouble with...

Now i can't seem to get past Jupiter in CoP, i freeze and crash every 15 minutes.

I dont know how I got it :S I got CoP itself working for the first time yesterday, after reinstalling and everyting (problemw as fraps -.-). The Overlay just worked. I cant get the overlay working on SoC though :S

as of today with the new beta UI update my overlay works with stalker perfectly

You can fix this.
