Yes, it was a big earthquake, but the city stood well enough.

We already have electricity, water and internet so our basic needs are covered ;)

Just got a chance to get connected. It got very scary last night during the Earthquake. It lasted about 3 minutes, and those were some really intense 3 minutes.

1/3 of the city is currently without electricity, but as David says, Santiago is a city with constructions prepared for earthquakes. Things aren't that bad here where I live, but we still don't have a full report of the damage.

Unfortunately the situation in Concepcion and the south seems to be very critical. I have family their, but thank god they are all ok.

Yeah, he's fine. We've been able to contact almost everyone from the team and everyone is ok.

The aftershocks are very strong near the epicenter. They are definitely dangerous in Concepcion. But in Santiago we feel them like small quakes every now and then. However I'd say we've had a couple that felt like a 4 or 5 scale earthquake. There have been more than 100 aftershocks since the earthquake... so we're all jumpy here. Just yesterday, right before closing the offices Edmundo, Gabriel and I were talking about some stuff here and we got a pretty strong aftershock. I really makes you nervous because you immediately remember what you went through during the earthquake.

In Chile we have always had land shakes every now and then, but everyone ignores them (land shakes big enough that foreign people get scared). But now no one is ignoring them. We're all very sensitive to any movement.

For those interested in Earthquakes and an unusual day at ACE Team's offices (and odd mix, I know)... you might want to read the following post in our official forums.

Chile... Land of the Earthquakes (http://forums.aceteam.cl/index.php?showtopic=1164)
