BeAsTeD By BmXiCaN - needing help...

Server I was in got hacked by two or three guys, it said: BeAsTeD By BmXiCaN ... and there was about 12 or more of us in server, so several people got hit too, who knows what they are doing or thinking about the problem.

I found the guy on Steam Profiles, him and some buddies of his are going around running that script on servers, messing up the servers and messing up people's CSS files.

I deleted "cfg" folder, and some other folders and files in my cstrike folder, ran the game and I get glazed characters in-game, it's like a shiny light around them (deleting folders only helped the character locked posistion I was having). I then re-installed Counter-Strike: Source completely, still I get the problem with glazed hands and blurry textures. Here's a picture of my hands and blurry game textures:

There is one thing I tried, that only fixed the glazed characters temporarily, that was typing "mat_specular 0" in console. Blurry textures still remained, and after joining another server the mat_specular is turned back on to 1.

The three guys I found doing it, they were skipping around from Server to Server, crashing them and messing up people's CSS files, and who knows what other files, cause I can't seem to fix it completely (even with a complete re-install of CSS).

I have BmXiCaN's profile, I just don't have his/her SteamID or IP# for you at the moment. If anyone knows anything else I can try, please help... otherwise I'll reformat my Hard Drive in a few hours. Also, I already know about zBlock, the server I was on, didn't have it (but I let them know to add it).

Did you mean:
mat_specular 0 ? - cause when it's on(1) I get the glaze characters.

Ok I just fixed two problems, the blurry issue and glazed issue, some how the BmXiCaN script changed my Texture detail to Low (I changed it back to High) in Options > Video > Advanced ... Also I chose: "Run in window" in Video tab, under Display Mode. Changed it back to "Full screen", now the shiny glaze around characters are gone. :-) But for some reason, the game still feels a bit sluggish, even after trying the bumpmap command to 1 (could be my imagination). So my only problem now, is the sluggish gameplay feel while playing.

And why does the game console say that both the bumpmap and specular commands defaults are 1, when both of mine are set to 0? And why would specular be defaulted to 1, if it causes that glaze around the characters? Thanks for the help, Slayer00

the glaze is caused when mat_bumpmap and mat_specular are not set to the same value.
mat_bumpmap 1 and mat_specular 1 are the default values,
but to increase fps you can set them both to 0 which a lot of people do.

set them both to 1, if you want default.

Admin Slowhacking refers to a server administrator maliciously altering the game configuration files on a client's computer. If you believe you have been slowhacked, you can resolve the issue by locating and deleting the config.cfg in your game directory.

For example, the config.cfg for Counter-Strike can be found at:
<Steam Installation Directory>\steamapps\<username>\counter-strike\cstrike\config.cfg

Find the config.cfg for your game.
Open the file with Notepad.
If your file has an entry for developer, make sure it is set to “0”.
Close the file.
Right-click on the config.cfg and select Properties.
Check the Read-Only checkbox and click OK.


Many servers require the ability to run server commands on client machines, so disabling the developer console is generally a better idea if you wish to play on widest variety of available servers.

HERE IS A SMAPLE OF WHAT HE DOES: HE GETS AHOLD OF ADMIN AND THEN STARTS ♥♥♥♥ING WITH ♥♥♥♥. I DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY NOR SHOULD HE BE ABLE TO PLAY AT ALL THIS GUY SHOULD BE PROSECUTED FOR HACKING INTO SERVERS AND GO AWAY AND NEVER COME BACK. IS NOTHING IS DONE BY STEAM I WILL GO TO THE PROPER AUTHORITIES AND REPORT THIS PERSON. SOOOO IF YOU THINK THIS GUY SHOULD BE PROSECUTED ER ATLEST BANNED FROM VAC SERVERS I SUGGEST WE ALL GET TOGETHER AND TAKE HIM DOWN. MAKE STEAM DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS LIL KIDDIE SCRIPTER.
