Unplayable.

I really WANT to play this game, I love it, but here's the thing.

My rig should easily be able to run Saints Row 2, but, No matter what I change under Display options, I have terrible FPS, and it spikes alot as well. So when I'm driving it'll just stop and then I'll appear ahead of where I was, usually crashed.

I'm running this on..

Windows XP
2.66 Quad Core Processor
5870 1gig
4gig ram

Temps are all low, etc.

Is there anything I can do? Because this is so frustrating. Thanks

Read through some of that, I havn't read it myself as I dont have a problem but there was a thread a few posts down with what sounds like the same problem as you are having.

Technically you only have 3 Gigs of RAM. Just saying.

But yeah, the game is just a crappy port overall. I lag when I drive, and rather than major lag spikes and ending up crashed, sometimes my car will just "die" for a couple seconds, where I can steer just fine but I cant get any acceleration. Whatever, its not like anybody is going to fix their broken game.
