Dialog / Sounds missing

Hi,

i installed FEAR today and play some time. Then i notice that some sounds missing.

for example:

-Enemy Gunfire
-Footstepps
-some Dialogs
-enemy shout if they get shot

I searched a bit and found that this Problem comes up with a cracked version of FEAR2 but i got the original steam version.

Dont know how to fix it reinstall dont help. Validating steam files dont help, too!

Are you sure you're the one who bought this game on Steam on your own account?

I'm serious that i'm not silly and Post a problem to a Game what i official do not have.

This is a user to user Forum, this is not Steam support. As The Thing said, if no one has an answer right now to your problem, usually if you wait a day someone will pop in.

What settings in the game's sound options do you have? And do you have a sound card or is it the onboard sound? And are your sound drivers up to date?

If you have onboard sound, make sure EAX is turned off and software accelleration is selected in the game's sound options.

Sounds like (no pun intended) it is your sound card.

Hi,

I use a Creative X-Fi Gamer soundcard and all driver are up2date.

I use 5.1 Settings.
