sonic allstar racing, controls ?

Hello,

I seem to have a problem changing the controls for sega's allstar racing game. When I select "controls" i see a keyboard with the controls and below it "config A" whatever key I press won't change anything. Anyone having a magic key ? lol

I don't know how to change controls on gamepad but for me the default controls for Xbox360 controller are perfect:)

... and I guess the Xbox360 controller is the only one that will be detected by default? Mine certainly wasn't. Good thing I have Xpadder 5.6 :-)

Tbh it's damn annoying that most company's nowdays only put in controls for xbox360.
I like to use the ps2 pad more imo

Anyway do a search for xinputemu3 xbox360 on google,that should help you out better.
what it does it fix the triggers so you can use ya joypad,as xbox360 triggers are assigned different.

I have the same dilemma (Logitech instead of 360 contoller), and downloaded this emulator, but I'm apparently too dumb to use it- I opened the file and placed it with the rest of the game files (in the Steamapps hard drive files), but no luck. Can anyone help walk me through this? I love the game, and I would love it much more if I could use my #@$*% gamepad!

Indeed once again Racer_S (http://www.tocaedit.com)'s XBOX 360 Controller Emulator (http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/) saves the day (in all its open source goodness).

Still, you have to read the instructions to use it, it involves placing a dll file and a ini file in the same directory as the game's exe. There is now a graphical tool that generates the ini file.

Thanks to this tool I was able to use my trusty old Saitek 2900 and 2600 gamepads in many games (including Sonic & Sega Allstar Racing) that otherwise only support X360 controllers.

Thats fine and I HAVE the same contoller and it is hooked up...yet I can't even use the controller.
