Patch Support for Steam Version

I know they released patch 1.1 a few days ago, but when you click on update history from the game's steam page nothing shows up. Does the patch work with the steam version? I've never purchased a new game through steam. O've bought a lot of games here but most are at least a year old or more and came with the patches.

I've heard this can be an issue with steam and I expect SH5 to be patched several more times so just trying to figure out the best move.

I have been wondering this too.
There is this automatic update system in folder. Well I did run it and it told me there is new patch. I downloaded it and when I was installing it, it told me that its unable to find game etc.

So does this ubiplay launcher or what ever you call it. So does it check automatically for patches and does it let you play if you have old versio?

Anyway off topic guestion what is latest patch? I have 1.1.5

yeah - history repeats itself: SH4 was patched via Steam some time after official patch release, Steam always kept saying that they have to wait for developers to send them files and then to rework it for Steam. But SH4 was updated via Steam only up to ver 1.3 - they completely ignored patch 1.4, and then patch 1.5 was only avialible when buying expansion pack. When trying to patch the game with files from Ubisoft you got always error "unable to find the game". So my only advice - keep emailing Steam support team for date of patch release.

Same question : sh5.exe file version from sh5 package I've purchased on Steam is 1.1.5
So is it the version from the lastest patch release ?
How to know if the game is patched or not ?
Perhaps Steam sales SH5 already patched versions.

According to what I have read the game automatically patches itself as it loads the game, without any help from Steam.

I believe the latest version is 1.1.5.

At least, that's what I think my retail version says on it after installing the patch.

Well I am just thinking this because game is just so full of bugs. Also that there is no servers so no one is playing online. Or is it just that everyone is playing singleplayer who are playing and bugs are there because bugs just like to be there.

My readme says I'm at 1.1 which is (at time of writing) the latest patch. I hope it is not the last, though.

You should check out subsim.com for user-created mods and patches, made the game a LOT more enjoyable for me.

Patch 1.2 is currently coming soon. Don't know when though.
