This is a simple explanation of the Elo rating system, to help you understand the system in simple and show you its elegance and beauty.

Elo Rating System. General Description

The Elo rating system is named after Dr.Arpad Elo, who improved the original chess rating system developed by Kenneth Harkness. It has been in use in the US since 1960 and was taken on by FIDE in 1970:

First. The Elo rating system shows how strong the player is. Player A, rated 250, is stronger than Player B, rated 200. But sometimes Player A loses to Player B, and his or her Elo rating is going down while the weaker player's rating goes up...

Players also gain rating points for each win, and lose rating points for each loss. Because ratings take into account not only the number of wins and losses but also the skill of each opponent, they are a useful measure of the true skill level of a player.

err, yea its used ingame, if you compare your stats with anybody else it shows your ELO rating, it also is supposed to show it on the leaderboard but currently doesnt

There's no such thing as an ELO system in the game, so why even bring something like this up on the forums? To stroke your epeen for telling us something we could look up in a dictionary?

Regardless. I'm not the best player, but I really enjoy the game, so I could care less about my rating, or what anyone else thinks of how I play or how good I am. I don't play in a competitive clan so i'm not really worried what you, or anyone else thinks.

ELO systems are used in games that use matchmaking. They are used to match you with players around your skill level. This game uses dedicated servers defeating any need for an ELO system.

Where do you see this in game? Because I found my ranking, and my stats, but I cannont find anything that says ELO.

I just looked through the leaderboards tab and dont' see anything there that says ELO either. I see skill level, but it's showing EVERYONE with a skill level of 0 which makes no sense, but it's probably something else just busted with their server system.]


Regardless the system isn't used in normal play so it's pointless. If the game used matchmaking it would be a different story. You know, like the console versions, but since we have dedicated servers we just join regardless of skill lvl then it's all null and void.
