Hello, I'm pretty desperate currently.
I play very often with a friend, together we played over a hundred hours the multiplayer of MW2.
But a few days ago it stopped working. Really, I don't know what to do.
I cannot join his party and he cannot join mine.
My nat type is strict since I started the first time and his always open (except when it sometimes randomly switches to strict)
It worked EVERY bloody time.
Now all we get is "attempting to join".
If another friend invites we can both join.
SOMETIMES we can join each other, like 20 minutes ago.
We played a game, then IWnet started to ♥♥♥♥ around, usual stuff, splitting us up, breaking everything. Then it stopped working.
We already tried everything but nothing helps.
And I cannot change my nat type because I cannot access the router because my flatmate forgot the passwords and I don't want to reset everything to ♥♥♥♥ up our internet.
Also why would my nat type won't do nothing for like 2 month and suddenly ♥♥♥♥ everything up?
We cannot even join games when one of us is paying a game.
I was in some 3rd person tactical ♥♥♥♥ to try that - 4 vs 3 and my friend just got "server full" (nobody was connecting, you see that in the multiplayerstats)
We cannot join each others private match
we cannot join while searching for players
we cannot join while searching for players with some players already in the "server"
steam restart won't help (did for the first 2 days of this problem)
pc restart won't help (this, too, helped for the first 2 days)
I joined an online game and left it (helped a few times, now it doesn't)
And don't just say "change nat type" or anything like that - read this post or don't bother posting.
I am hoping for some help, thanks in advance

I already tried searching the web but all I get are people talking about problems with their ps3 or unanswered threads
EDIT2: we now had mw2 open in the background while I was writing this.
He clicked on join and it worked.
So this is so random and ♥♥♥♥ed up, I do not know what to do
