EDIT: Can a mod or someone move this thread over to the Half-Life Mods section?

This isn't so much a Source Mod as it is GoldSrc mod. If it is in the wrong section then a mod or admin is free to move it to where it belongs. Anyways:

Half-Life 2: GoldSrc is a total-conversion mod which aims to recreate Half-Life 2 within the boundaries of the GoldSource engine. The vision of the mod is to create Half-Life 2 as we imagine Valve would have done it, had they made it at the time they made Half-Life 1; that means the same resources, limitations and so on. The mod will feature the same graphical style as Half-Life 1.

We are currently looking for:

Mod Construction Planner

* Knows how to create mods from scratch, using the GoldSrc engine
* Created mod(s) before is a plus

Level Designers

Pretty much. The idea for this mod actually came about on a thread on the Black Mesa forums. XD

Hi, I'm the project leader. I wanted to make clear that this project is currently in an early-development state (so your time won't be wasted waiting, should we accept you for a position) as there are other developers working on the project at the moment as well. We do need the help though, so please apply. Thanks guys.

If you have any questions, please email me at Dillon@HL2GoldSrc.com

Funny, but dumb idea to be honest.

How would this work if Half-Life 2 has physics puzzles?

The physics puzzles were fairly simple. You just change them to scripted triggers...but I'm not sure about the see saw and the cinderblocks one...hmmm...

So far, we are undecided on whether or not we will include the physics oriented parts of the game and are currently testing different ideas on the gravity gun. It's for these reasons we need more developers so we can figure out whether or not to include them and to figure out how to include them if we do.

Ever since I heard of Black Mesa I've been waiting for something like this to come up, I'm giddy with anticipation.

Or you can script the gravity gun to the action of pulling back a crate at a distance. You know where you press and hold E and walk backwards and the crate drags back with you. Do that but make it so the gravity gun drags it backwards from a greater distance. I don't know if it's possible but it's worth a try.

Good luck designing the last part of the game (super gravity gun).
