The anti-elitism in the game community never fails to confuse to me. The latest seems to be a proliferation of weapons without any camo whatsoever. I understand in those instances where a player might just love the look of the weapon without it, but the reverse elitism seems to be rearing it's head again. Today, I've gotten quite a few negative comments from players who see the Fall camo on my ACR. They're really going to hate me in a day or two when I go from Red Tiger on my sniper to Fall. I don't get it.

So, what's up with this? Does anyone have any ideas?

As far as i can tell they are just anti social ♥♥♥♥♥♥bags. Who gives a ♥♥♥♥ what players do with their own game especially what ♥♥♥♥ing camo someone puts on their weapon because they earned it.

Ignore them. Fact is, players are arses and will find anything to complain about.

I'm useing fall on my .50 sniper and blue tiger on my acr and m4a1 after all I got all those headshots so why not. But not had a problem with people giving me hassle maybe they are just being invidiousness toward's you to put you off your game.

That's silly. At 300+ hours and 1:70 I SHOULD have fall weapons. At the moment I only have 1 Fall, 1 Red Tiger and 3 Blue Tigers, but you get the idea.

Desert and Woodland camo are ugly as hell.
I tend to use either Digital or nothing, sometimes Urban.

i dont have any problems with camo except fall camo, its the last one to get yet it looks horrible, looks like the end product of a night out on the town that included half a bottle of jose cuervo, a thai prostitute and slab (crate aka box aka carton) or beer.

I always use the best one I have, I dont really care what the gun looks like, but all I can tell is that fall looks nice on my snipers and m4.

Personally, Fall camo was a horrible idea on behalf of IW. Everyone liked the GOLD guns, so why did you CHANGE it too look like poo?

They have their heads up there butts in most cases. If you get fall camo, congrats..I've only had it on ONE gun so far. FAL, and it looks TERRIBLE. The camo is nothing special IMO, but the emblems and titles you get for the X number of kills and headshots are.

Im usually just using arctic or no camo at all.

But I do like it when people put blue or red tiger on their weapons, especially snipers with gillie suits on, makes them easy to spot since both red and blue tiger stand out in almost any map :P

I mean, its no worth if your so far away that the enemy FOV renders all the bushes invisible and you the only knoll out there.

Whatever camo anyone uses should be up to them, I mean it's not like it gives you any advantage in this game other than pleasing your eyes

I have all camos unlocked for most weapons, but tend to sport no camo, or occasionally woodland. The bright colours don't do anything for me at all and just make weapons look tacky/gordy in my opinion. Also, the intervention looks so awesome without any camo and matches nicely with the M9.

I do sometimes wonder when I see all the ACR noobs running around with Fall camo, whether they're just doing it because they think it makes them look good. I don't dwell on it though and would certainly never insult someone because of it. Everyone's entitled to use whatever they want.

i can only dream about something like Dynamic Cammo System (client-side option) that allows you using cammo depending from map:
Desert for Afghan
Urban for Highrise etc.

I have Fall camo on all the weapons I use. Just to show people that I am a headshot hoe!

Vector, FAL, M16, P90 and ACR all with fall camo.

Oh and I never prestiged so they are all legit :)

Keep your fall camo dude. It goes to show that you like the weapon and that you have mastered it!

I have to admit though... the easiest to get fall camo was the ACR and the hardes was the p90.

I really love digital camo, :) have it for all my guns, unless I dont have it, then I use artic.

Yeah, ammo pick up is based on weapons attachment AND camo pattern- I just figure best chance I have is with no camo- not much better, but I hardly use scavenger so finding that extra fourty bullets once in a while is huge.

What's this? Cammo has no bearing on ammo pickup whatsoever when using Scavenger. It's simply aesthetics.

the funny thing about camo's is that the harder they are to unlock, the less camo they give... urban barely gives any camo, fall makes you light up like a f*cking christmas tree (not litterally). IMO the digital cammo pattern is the best to use all-round. it's grey-green-ish which makes it perfect to use in the grass on estate, in the snow and on concrete.

Yeah, that's the irony in it. Each unlock gets more and more impractical as far as actual camouflage, and it really is all just about eye candy. When I first started playing this game I used to adjust my camo before each round to better blend in with the environment...but eventually I got tired of doing so.

Yes sir. Not amount, but IF you can pick up more ammo for your gun when running over someone elses. I like marathon and SOH too much to use scavenger often- sometimes having no camo gets me that extra ammo from someone using the same gun load out.

Fall camo on the Barrett is just about the ugliest combination out there, but I don't mind it on the other weapons. I get bored of using the same camos on my favourite weapons so I just change it up every now and then to the Snow camo or whatever.

While I wont have a rage at you for using camo on your weapons, I DO feel its rather sad that people care so much about how a weapon looks that they want to put paint on it. I would personally rather just be playing the game than playing with nice decorative girly colour schemes for my weapon loadouts.
But then again, since this game hardly ever works, and is pretty much unplayable due to lag when it DOES work, I suppose arsing around with the "sims-character-creator"-like weapon loadouts.
As I said, its up to you if you care that much about something so sad, but I wouldnt have a rage at you in-game about it as if you were doing something criminal.

I'd definetly do 2000 headshots for pink camo.

Camo seems to be status marker(like in the jungle, you know)
indicating that the headshot was not luck.
by far noone has complained about my quick-aim-headshots while using M21 EBR since I wear the prestige title and fall camo on it(exception snow maps, orange color ftl).

i.e. as I play alot with russians, 1 whole clan had fall Ak47's
(looks quite neat tbh)
