Metro 2033 is scheduled for release in mid-March. PC Games Hardware got new information about the game and the technical aspects of its 4A Engine from the Chief Technical Officer Oles Shishkovstov.

Good article, thanks for the link. I found it particularly interesting that their engine will properly split tasks over an indefinite number of CPU cores, with each core sharing an equal load. That's undoubtedly the way forward, I just didn't think any games would be using that architecture for some time yet. Sometimes it's good to be wrong! :)
