Read the forums .....there have been lots of threads about this.

In short you are waiting for the ATI shaders to load, it is a catalyst driver issue, you can force your card to use DX9 and the load times come down, however you loose the eye candy. I have a 4850x2 and I have the same issue.

Drop to dx9 and the loading time takes around 30-45 seconds, rather than 2+ minutes.

It's really f'n annoying, hopefully this'll get fixed somehow with 10.3...not gonna play on dx9.

i was trying to drop down to dx9 last night to test it, but how to do you change it in game?

btw it seems an ATI card issue from the other threads i've read

I also have slow load times on my 5850. By the time I load in, the vehicles are usually already taken and I have to hoof it.

In the beta I was using an 8800GTS 512mb and my load times were much faster, so it's definitely an ATI thing. Hopefully drivers will fix it.

yep, known issue.

My specs are:

Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) (build 7600)
2.67Ghz Intel Core i7 920
Gigabyte EX58-UD3R
6Gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4890
Catalyst 10.2
Onboard Realtex Azaelia Sound (6.0.1 drivers)

and 2+ minute load times, in addition to the 5 minute Server Browser experience means that finding a game is painful.

Server Browsing takes 5 minutes? Try to cancel the initial query, then enable all filters except for Punkbuster (because it fails miserably). That should speed up the query next time you click Full Search.

I dont have an i7 myself, but only a Core2 E8500 and 4gb ddr3 and 9800 GT.
Loading isn't 2 minutes - Im usually faster than my XP-using friend.
Maybe it's a driver-issue?

I OC'd my i5 to 3,2GHz today and now it's loading as quickly as in the beta again...not sure how that makes sense but...ya. Just thought I'd let people know, maybe it is an option for some of you.

P.S.: Didn't get a relevant FPS boost from doing it ololo :/

lol ATI issues

Stay Classy AMD.

Takes me like 10 seconds to load a map.
