DoW2 2.1: What The Flip?

I get this since the 2.1 update. I use the stable Steam version on Windows 64 bit. ATI HD4850 512MB GFX card, AMD Phenom 9950 Quad (2.6 GHz) as processor. Any help on this would be appreciated.

i'm guessing that's the patch being rushed and buggy as hell then. There's a few people with the same issue...or several other issues too.

Still weird considering developers usually (in my experience) just delay the whole thing if it's not that ready.and space marines are now imba <.<Every race received some OP units. They all seem to be super effective against everything, or at least so I heard. Whenever I try to play, the game crashes, so I base my observations on third party reports :p

I have the same CPU, but a 5850. I ran the benchmark and then toned down a graphic or two. That should reset the graphical errors. :)

i have noticed that sometimes when i kill a chaos commander my screen goes black. Op ability? :p

Verify the game cache?Did that, twice. The game (not Steam) asked me whether or not I wanted to remove saved games. Clicked "no of course not, silly" and the Steam verifying started, with the result being "no files needed to be downloaded".I have the same CPU, but a 5850. That should reset the graphical errors. :)I also tried that, but the automatic adjusting didn't change anything to my settings nor did anything really change. I also tried manually adjusting them, with no success. I could attempt a reinstall, however with my max 400kB/s that could be a pain.

No issues here with a Phenom 2 955 and 4850.

I fixed the issue with the screen being black by replacing my modified module file with the one from the update. Unfortunately, I still am getting quite a few sound glitches...and I'm relatively certain that it is not my doing, unless the mods I had previously installed modified files other than the ones I manually put into their respective folders, in which case I'm probably going to have to completely reinstall unless Relic can come up with a fix.

i heard that if you let steam to delete your save games at verifying, this graphics bug is fixed. dunno if its true.

With sound bugs, try turning down the sound quality or other sound options. That worked for me
