Portal 2 Preorder Questions...read please

Alright, I put read please in the title, incase some of you didnt get it. Im not asking how to preorder Portal 2. Im asking, would a Portal 2 preorder bonus of Portal 1 be logical. I havent got Portal 1. For some stupid reason I dont have it. Ive been meaning to get it for a while. But do you think that Portal 1 as a preorder bonus would be logical? as in, would Valve do it, or does everyone else already have Portal.

I can see VALVe doing a combo deal for Portal 1 and 2 but in all honesty you might as well wait for Portal 2 and then buying the VALVe complete pack and enjoying all the VALVey goodness.

I have no doubt that there will be a bonus with Portal 2 once it goes up for Pre-order, though at the same time I don’t believe that the bonus will [or should] be Portal[1].

I agree with this the majority of people with interest in Portal 2 already own Portal or will soon purchase it so they can catch up on the story ready for when Portal 2 is released.

Again I also have no doubt that Portal 2 will have a Combo pack with Portal and Portal 2 in it for a very reasonable price, Portal 2 will also be added to the Valve Complete pack.

A Combo pack will not be the only option for buying Portal2.
As for "Tired of paying for games I already own..." STOP BUYING THE PACKS, you can buy all of Valve’s games individually. If your purchasing the packs as they are [generally] cheaper than buying the included games separately then stop complaining, you are getting a great deal and face it YOU made the choice to buy the pack, Valve is not making you spend less to get more.
I personally love Valve's packs, they are cheap and I can send my friends and family my spare copies, if you don't that’s fine but don't buy them then complain about it.
I am sorry if this comes of harsh, I just hate it when people choose to do something then complain about having no choice.

No seriously, Portal is a truly brilliant game of epic proportions.
The end credits alone will have you laughing out loud.
If you do [and you should] purchase and play Portal, take your time with it explore more than just the obvious, there are some very interesting and informative 'things' in the game you may [and probably] won’t see on your first play, and that’s leaving the games achievements out of the equation as some of these can only be done after you have finished the game [at least] once.

Well that went on for a while...
In hindsight you probably shouldn’t have bothered reading any of that.

You didn't get ripped off. You bought 3 brand new games for an amazing low price, and you got 2 games you already owned as a FREE bonus. You can't complain about that.

I would put good money on there being a "pre-purchase now and receive a free copy of portal to play now." deal when the game becomes available on steam.

Valve will want everyone who hasn't played the original to play it. There have been many new users to steam over the last 3 years and I'm sure a lot of them don't have The Orange Box or portal.

Maybe I shouldn’t have used CAPs but the point stands, also was the Black Box cancelled I am pretty sure that it just became a game.co.uk exclusive (at least in the UK)?

I could see Valve pulling an orange box with this one- Buy Portal 2, get Portal 1 for free. Already own Portal? Gift it to a friend.

That way, your friend gets hooked on Portal, goes out and buys the bundle, and gives their extra copy to one of their friends...

ive played it, the demo and the full at a mates house. I just havent got round to buying it yet.
