I imagine CoD2 players use Xfire significantly more than MW2 players do, because the Steam overlay does most of the same stuff. I, for one, do not use Xfire.

one reason it so high for cod 2 and not mw2 is becuase ppl run xfire in cod 2 so they can join servers and follow freinds around just like in cod 4. becuase this game relies on steamworks for multiplayer there is no way to do that with xfire. so of course more ppl will be playing cod 2 on xfire. plus hundreds of ppl that play this game dont know what xfire is. i used to play rainbow six which was the same way, not able to join games with xfire. when i asked ppl if they had xfire they always responded " whats that a fps too?".

Not more popular? Come on, I bet bloody foreign legion: buckets of blood is more popular than the trash we were ripped off with back in november, calling itself an IW call of duty game. Of course youre going to defend it, and claim the steam stats mean everything, youre working for them, so thats a given. We cant expect people who get a paycheck from them to tell us the facts. Look at all the blatant lies told from the first mention of IWnet...
And, come on... How many patches did COD2 get? Its now been 2 months since we have seen a patch for this garbage, and that didnt even attempt to fix any of the major problems, and caused more trouble than it solved anyway.
The truth is that almost ALL other COD games will be more popular than this now, because they actually work, they dont have hackers in every game, and dont have horrendous lag when they DO work, unlike modern warfare poo (say it out loud).

Hmmmm...popular? I wish Steam could recalculate how many of those players are with cracked copies, player region, and actual time spent playing...

I think Steam sometimes uses funny math, and gathering practices, also in the sales data.
