Hey guys, hope your all enjoying the game!

Having a problem which has been discussed before and I'm wondering if anyone has made any progress here.

Basically I have a high end system with high frame rates (min>40), on the highest available settings, and am experiencing serious input lag on my Razer Deathadder 3.5g, polled at 1000Hz.

Turing every graphical setting to the lowest available IMPROVES the situation, but does not solve it.... Anyone made any progress here?

Turn on mouse accelaration, if that's what you ment.

I had a Razer Diamondback and now a Razer Copperhead, no issues, but I think Fabulous' suggestion should do it, although I don't have mine enabled because it gets tricky to use in heated situations.

Ah sorry I think I've poorly explained my issue;

I have the issue mentioned on the beta "High frame rate yet input lag"

I don't want mouse acceleration, there is a latency between movements I make via input and those realised on the screen, referred to as 'input lag'.

A known issue I beleieve?

I also have a death adder, good FPS and had a similar expirenece to you.... It's still not great, I'm sure the game has some sort of smoothing in game that has no setting as yet.

I did however find that changing the FOV from 65 @1680x1050 to 75 @the same res greatly improved my mouse movement. Why you ask! I have no idea it just seems to be the sweet spot

No lag here (using a Logitech G7). Is it actual lag, or a perceived slow movement of on screen? Slow movement does happen since your turn speed in-game is capped so setting the mouse to a higher sensitivity feels laggy at times. In that case, it's not the mouse but the capped turn speed in the game.

If it is actual lag between mouse movements and on screen action, maybe try reinstalling your mouse driver. Does it work without the Razer driver in standard mouse mode?

I've got a DeathAdder and I never had that problem. Maybe make sure V Sync is off?

I had a Razer Mamba, working good at 1000hz polling rate,

smooth on both wireless wired mode, :)

Try DX9. I get lag on DX10 massively.

I have the Razer Deathadder v1 and i dont have any problems with it, try changing your polling rate to 500 Hz or your DPI to 1800 or update drivers and firmware

Hey Gerbil80 thanks for your reply, what settings do you use in the razer configuration, specifically the ratio of sensitivity to windows pointer speed in advanced settings?

Also what firmware and software versions are you using??

And how do I switch to dx9?

Many thanks for all your help guys

Good question!...I'm at work at the min but I will check for you later, I know that I leave Windows as it's defualt (Win7 Enterprise) what ever that set too 6/7 and the Razer config sensitivity is set to 10 (full).

Firmware v2.31 driver 2.10

DX9 you can force with the settings file in my docs BFBC2 folder

I use polling @ MHz with 1800DPI, this is what my old DA had and I've continued to use that. In-game sensitivity is 0.25 for BC2, 0.65 for COD games and 0.7 for Source engined games.

Bare in mind I'm a low sensitivity gamer with a massive cloth mat!!!!:p

Have you tried playing with the "Render Ahead Limit" (or something like that, I think it's the last option) in the settings.ini file?

I have come to a near perfect solution, hopefully this will help someone else..

After;
-Moving to firmware 2.33
-Setting dx to 9
-Turning off HBOA
-Scaling sensitivity starting with Razer master sens at 10

The problem is almost completely gone, due to the dx being the controller of input, my best hypothesis is that dx9 solved the issue.

Thanks for input guys
