One thing that is beginning to bug me is people calling everyone in here and in game a hacker just because they are good at the game or get a good streak going. It is absolute paranoia going around this game. Last night before bed I played a domination round, I had the worlds worst team but I was on a serious roll, all through the match I had some annoying little twerp bugging me telling me I was a hacker because my killcam showed my cross-hairs snapping from one player to another and killing them all (I ended the game with a 53-6-4).

I am not posting this to show off my epic skills. My point is that just because there are players out there that are really good at the game does not make them a hacker. I rarely go through a game without seeing someone get called an aimbotter or a wallhacker and it is getting ridiculous. For this reason alone I am kind of glad the way VAC works because god knows any other system that allowed reporting would be so flooded there would have to be a whole new wing put on the valve building for hacker reports.

So the main point of my rant is that you all need to chill out, not everyone is a hacker and calling people hackers just because you are jarateed off is completely pointless, it makes you look like an idiot and then we all have to read about it in here too. You sound like kids who got their toys taken away when playtime was over and it is getting old.

The integrity of this game is tainted, since so many hackers have been running rampant for so long. Because of this it's easy to assume anybody with skill is hacking, and any questionable killcam is immediate proof. Those who have rightfully earned a nuke must have done so using a hack.

You're right, the paranoia runs deep...but until IW/Activision fixes it that will continue throughout.

Theres a difference between a good score and a hacker, dunno what people dont understand about this, i went 81-5 on domination before and wasnt called a hacker, its easy to look at the killcam to see the said aimbotter in question ping between targets and getting nothing but 100% headshots.

It works both ways. There are those though who scream that anyone who is even remotely good is a hacker, and then there are those who'd deny that someone is hacking when it's patently obvious. Then there are my favorites the guys who hack and spam the text with the download site for the hack they're using.

Good scores don't equal hacks- but mechanical snap like movement does raise a very fair and legit question. Yes, some people are fantastically skilled, but there's many tells to when someone is botting- not one to judge after a single kill cam though.

About 95% of my games I get called a hacker, I dont mind I take it as a compliment and run onto the next game.

I only know that someone is a hacker if they follow me through a wall, lead their shots, and other things like that. If they make it obvious, I'll call them out.

I'll never call someone a hacker if they are just better than me or if I see someone has a nuke or something without evidence similar to what I said above. Even then, calling them a hacker is useless, because you can't do anything about it, and most of them love the attention.

Some people are blatant about it. I can understand a UAV or heartbeat sensor can give people a heightened awareness at times. But there's have been some situations where a guy will headshot me through a floor or ceiling with the flick of a wrist. Also, those who get several headshots in quick succession from across the map are also suspect.

I would call you a hacker as well. Does not matter how bad the other team is or your team. From the score you had to be running around a lot so I do not believe you only died 4 times.
Sorry even the top players I have played against that come close to the amount of kills you got die way more than four times. I guarantee you I would have killed you at least 15 times

Search WingsofRedemption or SandyRavage on YouTube. It's entirely possible, but you need the right mixture of skill, intelligence and luck. Hell, WoR managed to get a 40-0 on Rust.

You are right it may be possible but I have never seen it the whole time I have been playing unless we all know a hacker has entered the game. One map we where playing the guy got a nuke in the first few minutes of gameplay.

No deaths and by the kill cam you could see he was not even close to killing anyone. I still would like to see someone do this legit.

I commonly get "WH OFF NOOB" comments when leveling extended mags in HC modes.

and by far they cant tell the difference when someone puts 1 bullet to head trough wall and putting half/whole clip to wall and get headshot.
By Far this aint even that hard with heartbeat sensors, but it only gives you direction, not height so takes few shots to find the spot(this is where hit indicator becomes overpowered)

Lacking a common knowledge over the game and slight'ish nerdrage ruins the game quite fast.

^You shouldn't get mad at people like this one. Sure, they'll call you a hacker, but think about why they're doing it. They're doing it because they're so terribly mediocre (at best) at the game that they can't even imagine someone doing well without hacking. It should be pitied not, despised.

I have bookmarked a few people that have openly admitted to hacking and even put the name of the site they bought the hacks from and they have not been banned by VAC yet. VAC is a joke and doesn't work as well as they claim

Face it, there are loads of hackers in MW2 right now. If you get called a hacker, just defend yourself. It happened to me and I explained to the guy that I had heard him coming and that he should use Ninja Pro if he didn't want it to happen. It's only dumbasses who sling the accusation around out of spite - the kind of people who end up hacking themselves. Genuine players only call out hackers if they're absolutely certain of it. In fact, in my experience, the same hacker can be in round after round and not get called out at all. I think there should be more disapproval. Sometimes I just ask the people straight out if they're hacking, and guess what - they never even answer me. If they weren't hacking, surely they would at least reply that they weren't. But they are. It's pretty obvious when someone's hacking from killcams. Even with the smoothing which the current aimbots do, you can still judge from watching a few killcams if someone is aiming in an inhumanly accurate way - tracking a moving target much too smoothly for example, or zeroing in, time after time, without even the slightest overshoot or undershoot.

I can tell you that I don't cheat, I just defend flags in Domination and enemies come to me. Nobody called me hacker in that game either, 'cause it was obvious I was just playing defensively.

Score doesn't mean spit, watch the killcam and if he's tracking your head through solid wall and "locking on" to targets and getting straight headshots, obvious hacker.

I'm not the best player, but sometimes you just have a good run or a very... very... bad enemy team (most of the times I'm on the bad team, or maybe I'm even the cause it is a bad team ^^). You CAN get Highscores but not in every single game.

I also agree, that one Killcam is not enough proof, even a second one may just be a coincidence since some people like me decide, after they spotted someone to go some weird way before killing them (getting behind them or something) so they cannot see you've initially spotted them.

I mostly play with some friends so if we get suspicious of someone we check the steamprofile (hours played against level) and watch the killcams we get closely. One out of three times it is not a hacker or a cheater, simply someone with more skill/luck whatever! But for a few weeks now there are the two out of three times where you actually have a cheater where you suspect him... that is quite sad!

To end this comment: I saw a video on youtube of some guy being spectated using a wallhack/aimbot kombo. He used the VOIP and laughed at the guy using fraps to capture it with the comment "who are you going to show the fraps to? i do whatever i want" and so on.

i nuked karachi hc hq pro in like 1 min. final score was 25-0 and as always hq doesnt come online for 30 secs. then we had 25 points which is 25 more secs. we capped it as soon as it was online so maybe 1 min total. i dont cheat and never cheated in any game before. but i did get called a hacker tho for doing this fortunately i know i dont cheat. but it was by far one of the fastest nukes i ever achieved.

I know when people are hacking, and leave. Example: Someone on the top sniper spot on Quarry doing prefire shots right before I get in sight. Doing this multiple times at every single entrance I took.

I don't accuse unless I KNOW someone is hacking. Tracking through walls, prefire, etc. are very good ways of catching them.

It is kinda funny when I'm in a clan party of 6 and leave an SnD game right on the spot.

They're either epic campers or cheats generally speaking, from what I've seen.

These are never people capping points and generally working with their team, so either way if you get one it should be insta-VAC ;)

But no seriously, I never accuse because of score, I accuse from what I've seen with my own eyes - and I've never been wrong.

I always leave when there's at least 40% cheats on the opposite team, which is maybe 1 in 3 games best-case.

The point of this thread was exactly what I said it was, to tell people my opinion on the way everyone is always getting accused of being a hacker and for people to discuss it.

no, it just means they are/were playing without legit cd-key.
afaik It doesn't work anymore and they stopped making cracked steam files for these since the game basically updates itself every week.
they got a whole bunch of software to mess up with VAC.

Herp Derp also has gold DE's, shot guns, and most other secondary weapons. He claims he works for IW.......Which I highly doubt. It was weird, because you actually saw the gold weapons....so they have to be programmed into the game itself.

I find myself running into less hackers, BUT running into a lot more nuke boosters. Gets SO OLD!

How can you not be paranoid about hackers in this game? I don't accuse people much, but when I do it's usually when I get killed and kill-cam shows extreme sussness. Don't assume ALL people hacking will get 100-0 kills-deaths.

Most if not all the hackers I've come across in the past few weeks have only been using hacks like the "Enemy name plates" hack which shows where everyone on the enemy team is and they've all had pretty average scores.

It's quite obvious if someone is hacking by watching killcam. I don't know about you but when I get killed in a suss way I watch my killcams. I know the difference between lucky shots and wallhack shots

Same here. I think it's the funniest thing when I shoot at a red dot through a wall (the red dot on the mini map) and get a kill, but then I get called a wall hacker.

Actually, when you are sitting in one spot firing at nothing like a friggin moron, I can see your red dot on my mini map that I actually pay attention to.

Some other times a team mate dies behind or beside me so I turn around and mess up the guy who did it, and he claims I have some sort of map hack. Well if you consider that my team mates show up as skulls on my mini map when they die, then yeah, I suppose I do have a map hack.

It gets even worse when we have a UAV up and I know where they are.

I'm not even that great of a player, but whenever anyone dies in this game it's immediately "HACKER!"

Exactly my point. There is no room in this game for people to compliment others on their gameplay at all and it sucks. If someone is doing good it would be nice for respect to be shown, not to be harassed by trolls.

Don't get me wrong I am no "pro" but I do think I am a pretty damn good player and it would be nice to have been called a good player one time out of the numerous times I was called a hacker. Of course this game is not about feeling good, its about fighting, owning people and getting that great feeling when you destroyed someone or a whole team, so like I said, no room for positive feedback I suppose only negative.

In this game it's impossible to hear enemy footsteps without cranking the sound up a bunch... anyway...

I've only had about 1 time in my gaming history where hearing the sounds of the enemy actually gave me a decisive edge... I was playing Action Half-Life and I was having a crazy gun fight with some guy, we both nearly kill each other and find ourselves at opposite sides of a corner... then I get scared and plop my butt down for way too long... once I check the corner and see this guy is no where in the area I freak out again but more-so and hold the area... about twenty seconds later I hear something that sounds like a guy running about, so I turn to the door way and fire 3 shots through the doors... a few seconds later round end victory. Of course the funny part is... had the guy been dead but I not gotten the round victory I probably would have been content to sit there waiting in ambush for the enemy that was already dead.

And even if you do hear them, I've found it doesn't port the footsteps out the correct speaker of my surround sound setup anyway. It always comes out the front-side speakers, so all it helps is knowing an enemy is somewhere near you.

Occasionaly play a little TDM if im trying to get a quick unlock or perk to pro. I Usually come away with at least a 2/1 kill death ratio even on my weaker maps.

I find in Search and destroy mode there are alot of wallhackers, occasionally come across an aimbotter but its rare. Ive been on alot of Search games tonight and kept coming across this same guy over and over again. The thing was he was blatently hacking using aimbot and wallhack. Pretty obvious when hes spraying through the hedges on wastelands for instance and killing 4 other players in your team just in my death replay.
So another words he owned 5 people in my team in the space of time in my replay at differant sides of the map while looking into a hedge not the open.

The thing is, i seem to bump into 1 of these blatent hackers at least once every other day and its becoming really annoying. Making me feel like just packing this game in all together because the hacking it just out of control with no real person to do anything about it. They just laugh at you and carry on. Personally this is a big let down to me and makes me consider not actually buying another game by steam or run by iwnet. Im not crying or moaning im just sick of it to be honest. This has to be the biggest hacked game ive played in the cod series and feel really let down.

I only call a hacker when i see their killcam, when something is fully out of hand. Like some guy shot us through a bush with a p90... On wasteland...Full auto. But yea, i agree, most of us are decent players that don't need to cheat.
