Aiming for Headshots

The past few Prestiges I've realized how precious Headshots can be, and found myself aiming for them a lot if I have the time to react.

Every time I sneak up on someone, I specifically aim for a nice little headshot.

Lately, when people watch their killcams and see that, they call me a noob, which has never really bothered me, might as well just call me a bullet noob because no matter what gun or setup you use you get flamed. :p

I love leaving a game with 5/6 extra headshots because I took the time to aim instead of spraying at their body.


Do others take the time to aim up headshots? Sometimes in the heat of battle it can be hard to remember not to tear someone in half with your rifle.

Yeah I always aim for the head when I have the chance but it seems like a lot of times what would legit be head-shots don't count. Many times when a person moves a little after squaring in on their head It counts as a body shot which is frustrating; but i'm estatic cause I just got my 1k head-shots with ump45 yesterday. :)

Really, it doesn't matter. This isn't like other games where headshots are one hit kills, in fact, most weapons take the same number of bullets to kill someone in the chest as they do in the head, so if you take the time to try and get a headshot you may well find yourself coming off second best to someone else, even if you are the better player. I'd take the kills over needing a few extra games to unlock my different camos every time.

Sometimes that happens to me. If I'm surprised to see the person I end up stabbing them to death.

I'm doing sneaking only for one purpose: it is funny to stick semtex on their asses and then watch their reactions after they see the killcam.

Related: Headshot kill is always better since it counts for new titles, camos or emblems so I'm always trying to get a headshot if possible.

If i creep up on a camper, i either knife them or shoot them in the head.

My personal favourite is what i did last night and unlocked NBK (i think it was). Was on Afghan in team deathmatch, and most of my team was behind me around the bunkers, so i jumped on the blocks and went prone, aimed down the map (http://i.ytimg.com/vi/ltAvtj8r7y0/0.jpg but further back than that player). Took out about 4 players with headshots and got about 3 assists with a Scar i think i was using.

Funny thing was i pressed the Windows key instead of going prone twice, and neither time did i get killed lol.

You don't get Disconnected when you ALT-Tab or hit Windows? I always get DC'd from games if I hit the windows key. Maybe it's a glitch with Windows 7.

I think it DC'd in the past but it didn't last night, when it went to desktop the sound remained and i just clicked back on MW2 no problem, just a short black screen ;)

I smash my face into the keyboard when I'm having a good game and accidently do something to minimize my game. haha.

It's so depressing! That happened when I got my first nuke, so now I don't even bother to go for a nuke anymore. Lol

in snd i do because its 1000 points the the other headshots are mostly luck

The vast majority of my headshots are pure luck, either from my sights bouncing up from the chest, or from spraying through walls...that's what I get for using the MG4, I guess. :D

I have over 200 kills with it in this Prestige, but I just barely have Digital camo (15 headshots)...that's less than 10% of my kills with it, haha.

I took loads of time going for headshots when completing the .44 magnum, M9 and Desert Eagle challenges. I used marathon and ninja pro so I could move around the map quickly, sneak up on people, and put a bullet in their head at point-blank range.

It's quite an effective way of getting kills actually... as even though I was constantly going for headshots, I still managed to top the majority of games I played in.

I been aiming for headshots with the G18's and yes its possible to aim for a better chance at a hs

I always go for headshots when I can and when I remember.

I use Akimbo when going for headshots with Handguns, about 50% of the kills usually get a random Headshot.

I always try for the head, i dare say it also gets me killed more often than not. But practice makes perfect i guess.
