Well, ever since DICE announced that they would care about the PC community [even though there are no mod support for BC2] I've been hearing a ton of ♥♥♥♥ by people who say MW2 sucks and BC2 will blow it out the water cause it has dedicated servers.

Well, the game is out and more than 50 percent of the time, the servers are down so people cannot play.

I am not sure where you pulled that 'more than 50 percent of the time' from but whenever I have logged on to play I have had no such issues. I play for an hour or two every day.

I remember there were outages with Battlefield 1942 and B2 also. No surprise really, but ya you'd think after all these years they'd figure out how to keep the humping master servers up. Glad I have not bought it.

There is one major difference.

You like to play with your team and win, play bc2.

You like getting massive killstreaks, play mw2.

EA servers arent the best either, but theyre still decent.

The difference is - I paid full price to DICE/EA for BC2 because I wanted to support a company that still cares about PC gamers. I didn't give Bobby Kotick's Activision a nickel. I loved COD4 - but won't miss playing MW2 for a second. I hope the fired IW guys land on their feet. Make Activision a billion dollars and Kotick will fire you rather than pay out a bonus.

...and yes, for those you obsessed with defending MW2 no matter what - BC2 is a great game if you don't have ADD.

MW2 was £40 (And still is) and BC2 was £25.
BC2 gets support, MW2 gets no support.

There is another side though, relating to the main of the community of Modern Warfare 2.
Unlike mw2, BC2 has a community that is more of a serious gaming community.
Now I'm not saying all of the mw2 community are casual players, but most of the people buy mw2, and that is all they play, often with no taste in gaming.

That is the majority of mw2's players, but I think there are a fair few who try and play mw2 as a serious game, as hard as it is from some of the players.

They have given a clear reason on why there isn't a Mod support in this game. The Engine just wasn't made for it and it would demand way to much to change it so that it can take Mod support.

But unlike IW we have only gotten like "Maybe" where as DICE have stated why. It's not like they hate the Modding guys. They like them infact but modding for BC2 just isn't gonna happen. This comes from a Dev who originally started in a BF2 or BF2142 and now works at DICE.

But you really shouldn't complain about no modding in BC2. Because I asked for a Screenshot feature in MW2 and was told by 402 it was not possible at the moment.

As for the thread. Yea I can't see this thread have other use than trying to bash BC2. I'm locking this one.
