So guys, i need your help on a few questions regarding eyefinity.

1.) Do i have to buy all 3 monitors with Display Port inputs ? or just one, and the other 2 wiht the usual dvi/vga. I'm thinking its a bit expensive and would work if they're all same size & res (e.g 22" and 1920 x 1080)

damn i forgot my other 2 questions ima brb

Edit: found solution to other questions here : http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=18694

Ans : piece of ♥♥♥♥ works for only 60hz, unless i go through another hour of googling, dammit

1) only one, or one DVI monitor with display port adapter and 2 regular DVI's. Needs to be an active adapter and they go around $100.

so its safe to assume, that if I've got :

a) one with DP input

and

b.) 3 monitors of same size and res (22", 16:9, 1920 x 1600 etc etc) regard less of brand, contrast ratio and refresh rate

that im good to go ?

Thanks for the input

Well, for my EyeFinity setup, I have three monitors with DVI/HDMI inputs, so I had no choice but to get a DVI->DP adapter (Accell B087b-002B) and it works. BTW, my center monitor is a Benq FP241W (P-MVA panel) + 2x G2400WD (TN panel) which acts as the side/surround monitors. I've had to tweak the color/temp setting on my side monitors to get it close enough to my FP241W. As long as the monitorsa are of the same size and res, that's all that truly matters.

+1, that solved my worries Thanks again !

Edit: here's a little bonus i came across while googling eyefinity setups re: Team Fortress 2 HP/Cloak meter placements on the HUD (middle monitor only instead of all 3 monitors)
enjoy!
