As to the topic: This will hopefully be fixed in Portal 2. We don't know if it has been, yet.

the person is go into the portal half way and then the gravity go up on the head part and down on the legs part. Should not have ripped apart. Maybe did ripped apart but the game can't be gory level so it just to show invisible legs????

I am talking like you for clarity. I don't think this can be fixed at all, It is just a weird glitch.
