GTA: SA 1.01 Patch?

Hey,

Tonight, I wanted to give San Andreas another run - A gaming gem. I fire up the game only to see the maximum resolution I can pick is 1650x1050 - I clearly remember this game being able to do 1920x1080. I then discover that resolution is a part of the 1.01 patch which, apparently, isn't in the steam version of the game?

I then try and manually update the game and get an error, so either the game is already 1.01, a broken version or the steam .exe is different.

Can someone help me here, what's the deal with the 1.01 patch

1. The Steam version of the game is v 3.0
2. The gta_sa.exe is named gta-sa.exe in Steam (so the patch won't even find the file)
