Me and my friend have our computers connected through a ethernet switch and he can find my game, but it won't let him connect.

I know if we were using a router I would forward ports, but we are not using a router.

What can I do to fix this?

My Windows Firewall is turned off and so is his.

He can find the game but it just says connection failed, so I know something is blocking him.

If I do dedicated it shows up, but this doesn't help because then I can't play.

If he's able to join if you use dedicated, you should too. Dedicated host a server on your computer without having the game running. Just restart the game and it should work.

In the eventuality that you can't connect to your dedicated server, gosh I got no idea what the problem is.
