if my friend in europe gives me a gift of AC2 Deluxe edition on steam, would i be able to download and play it without problems since im in the US? i heard the deluxe was for Europe only...

I heard AC2 is no longer on sale in european steam.

The game version you get gifted, is the one from the country purchaged from.

So, yes, you will get the deluxe version, if you are gifted evan tough you are in the US.

Another example is: you are in germany and don't want to get a censured game, so you get it gifted from another country.

that depends on the game. I live in the us and tried to gift a copy of cod4 to a friend in germany, and he got the censored version. He had come to the us to get a physical copy.

the steam deluxe version contains the dungeons that were only available in the US via preorder. The Black edition is a retail-only pack that was released in Europe and Australia that contained a bonus book, dvd, and figurine. why not just buy it in the US store?
