With all the issues I see people reporting on here I am really glad I didn't buy Metro 2033 until they get the bugs fixed and some reviews come in. Think I will be spending those dollars on Dragon Age Expansion instead. Good luck getting the issues fixed quickly and I hope the game is good.

How is that any different from buying it now and waiting to play it?
That logic makes no sense.

Because I can only buy either Metro 2033 OR Dragon Age expansion. I was torn between which to get. Seeing these issues for Metro 2033 has me thinking I will get Metro later when they fix the bugs. That's all.

This forum is mostly for SUPPORT. In other words: Problems.
So if you look on here, your going to see all of the games issues.
It works great for me. Looks great too :D

IS this forum mostly for support? I thought this was a games discussion forum. If you happen to get some support as well, bonus.

it might be meant for general games discussion, but 90% of these forums on specific games are used for support. Or complaining.

That may be what its intended for, but in reality people come to forums to complain about problems and ask for ways to fix them. If you get some discussion as well, bonus.

Yup, when a game is newly released you're gonna see mostly threads asking for support because there is no history of past issues with solutions anywhere on the internet yet. You can't decide not to buy a game just because a forum is full of people who want support.
I'd choose Dragon Age over anything anyway, that games literally feels real to me, I once went half a day (on release) without realizing I was a regular human being in need of food ... Really was into the game.

OP gimme a break. EVERY new game has people with issues. Some clown never installed DirectX so you aren't buying the game?
Whatever. Great thread though, really not pointless at all. What are you having for breakfast tomorrow?

This.
If you can show me a steam forum from ANY game that either recently came out, or any of the slew of games that comes out tomorrow, where the forums aren't at LEAST 30% people talking about issues, I will mail you a pizza roll.
People just naturally come to forums when they need help. Where as people who can play the game.. are playing it. It happens every time a game came out, and it's not a gaurantee by any means that you'll have any issues here.

I have no issues with the game. The graphics are better than Crysis and the gameplay is also excellent. It looks 10x better on PC than console.

I agree. Waiting for a patch that might solve problems you don't know if you'll have until you actually buy and try the game seems a bit... poorly thought out.
In short: You don't know if you'll have problems until you try, OP.
