Aceraceracer, can you please post a screen-shot of the visual and graphical problems you are encountering. Also, list your current computer configuration, specifically the video card. The more information you can provide, the more easily we here at Cadenza can help track down the source of your troubles. Eager to hear back!

What video card do you have?

This sounds similar to a known rendering issues on some older Radeon cards, and we will address it in a future update.

Having worked with similar setups, I would recommend setting your NVidia graphics profile settings to their default values. Forcing AA or other things can have strange results on NVidia cards in Sol Survivor. Let us know!

Someone else had this exact same issue, and I believe the step above solved it.

I am having the same issue with the same card (EVGA GTX 260) It's like the game is missing all the texture files. The http://i39.tinypic.com/29zvc6q.png screen from aceraceracer is identical to my situation.

I am running Vista Pro on an Intel i7. I have re downloaded once already and will try a couple more times.

Forgot to mention... Every time I boot the game it tries to do the 3 step Steam install including the "Microsoft components" and XNA Framework portion before booting.

Look into graphics card settings for "forced Anti-Aliasing." That should help. New graphics drivers are also recommended!

Went in to the graphics card setting for the program and turned everything to "Allow program to decide". I also turned of the v-sync in the card setting for the program. Works great now, thanks!

My wife says "That music is serious".

Great!

I assume your wife meant "serious" as in "super-awesome yet well crafted", in which case we all agree (and continually lavish praises on our sound guy).

Yeah, the music is well done. Pretty calm, but not boring.
