My cd key not accepted?!

Hi! I have Warhammer 40.000 Dawn of War CD-Key and a CD for installing, and i wanted to activate y game on Steam. But, unfortunately my cd key was not accepted. My cd key is on the back of the cd-cover and I don't know why it didn't work. Can someone help me about this ?
oh yes.. and my CD-key is like that 12A3-B45C-6789-01D2-E3F4 that is tyhe numbers and letters structure . Can someone help???

Couldn't tell ya, try emailing support or something like that. Not many options when it involves CD keys. You may need to buy another one.

Unfortunately, Dawn of War, Winter Assault and Dark Crusade can NOT be added to your account if you bought them retail (in a store, you own a game box). You might have thought this was possible, since SoulStorm owners could do it. But alas, your original games are stuck offline.

I really wish you could, I'd love to add my Retail CD-Keys to Steam.

i could be mistaken, but I think he posted a generic alphanumeric example to clarify the number sequence he attempted to use.

Thanks for the help! :) And nanosheep This is so not my CD-key :D I'm not so stupid to give it just like that... :) That is only the number and letter structure like ABCD-1234-AB12-CD34 :)

You can't activate cd-keys for the retail versions of dawn of war on Steam.

Says you can only activate Soulstorm.
