Has anyone beat the "Library" chapter/section of the game? I have some questions

I'm stuck at the part where you walk into the library, get attacked by "birds", and continue into new more rooms, where I'm stuck in a room that I came from a small hole on the right-top side, that I can't get back into. This room has one dead man on the side, a staircase (small 2nd floor), and a bunch of windows and bookshelfs, and two major doors that won't open. What do I do in here? I've searched around and can't find anything to do to get out.

I never even got close to running out of filters once. And I got stuck forever at that same part. i know for a fact that there is filters on various bodies around the parts you are in...
