i think the bc2.exe is still running.
go to taskmanager [control+alt+del] and kill the process

had the same problem .. game was running even after i closed it.. although my fix may not suite u but this is what i did

FORMATTED VISTA 64 ULTIMATE and installed WIN 7 64 ULTIMATE

now that fixed my multiple bfbc2.exe running in task manager but i still get sulggish fps from my q6600 2.4ghz 275gtx sli rig ... hoping new nvidia drivers and some patches from DICE will bring some love to this game ...
